Some thoughts for a better Sharp GX30
I don't own the phone any longer. This page is only maintined for historical purposes.
Don't get me wrong I bought the GX-30 (Swisscom Vodafone edition) and think it's a good phone, but...

Very Positive (added due to the high traffic on this page)
- Super quality pictures! Best camera in a phone ever! (That's why I bought it)
- Superb display! Beats anything I've ever seen in a phone!
- Very user-friendly! Even my grandmother could use it.
- Looks good! I've gotten lots of envious looks.
Improvment Ideas
General
- Less display clutter (you can't get a quick overview over the activated options, because the icons are scattered all around the display)
Camera
- Possibility to surpress sound and light effects when taking a picture! Specialy in the silent profile!
- Less "sharpening" of the image
- Faster shutter times (less shaky images)
- No "Please check macro switch" information on camera startup
- Possibility to automatically save all pictures taken (as in external display mode)
- Faster saving
SMS
- Keep T9 language options (my phone always changes from German to English because the phone language is English)
- Too many dialogs before sending the SMS
- Possibility to add entries to the T9 vocabulary
- A "Send" option in the Options menu
- Pressing the green send button should send the SMS
Organizer
- What Organizer??? Get someone on the team who knows what an organizer should do (hint: it's not just dates with notes)
- Sync with Outlook
PC Sync Software
- Bluetooth connectivity!
- Possibility to backup all configuration data of the phone
- Download phone-book data on demand only
- Access to the SD-Card
MP3 Player
